Several organizations celebrated in July after the last piece of ranchland was protected in the Navajo River Watershed located in the southern San Juan Mountains. The final conservation easement in this area is a big win for neighboring towns to protect water supplies in Colorado and New Mexico. It will also benefit the next generation of working ranchers and supports an important wildlife corridor for many species.
